Self-Destructive Behavior
What is self destructive behavior it is called many things such as self harm self inflicted violence and self mutilation. There are many types of self injury like cutting ,burning, biting a hitting. Look at Scott's website to understand.
Why do teens participate in self-destructive behavior? Self- injury usually indicates that somewhere during development that person didn’t learn good ways of coping with overwhelming feelings or stress. They’re not sick or insane they just never learned positive ways to deal with feelings and emotions for various reasons. The majority of people who self-injure are women between the ages of 13 and 30, but there are cutters of every age gender and economic group.
Some factors influencing self-injury:
• There is a history of family violence abuse or sexual abuse
• Feelings of loss and or need for control
• They find it soothing
• To express anger towards themselves
• To get people to care for them
• To get away from stress and responsibility
• To cope with feelings
• To feel alive and real
• To tell people they need help
• An attempt to get people to react to their actions
As a personal experience I know someone who cuts. I really don’t know why she does it but I think she does it for attention from her family. But her family doesn’t know about it. And I don’t know how to get her help.
Self destructive behavior is more predominant today because of all the stress in the world and in the economy. Teens are more likely to hurt them self because of family life, relationship problems, and for attention.
What can people do to help people or them self from hurting them self?
People who self injure can learn to use new and healthier coping mechanisms the process may take years to develop. It also may help for them to see a therapist who specialized in self injury.

war
I dont think Obama should send more troops to afghanistan. because it starts a draft and im 18 and dont want to go to war. and we should have a 1 cent tax to help pay for the war.and if we suddenly brought all our troops home the economy would get worse.
